Lisburn Ladies travelled to England on the weekend of 7/8 June to take part in the Skem Athletic National Girls Tournament.  This is regarded as one of the biggest girls' tournaments in the UK - it brings together some of the best girl football teams in the UK and Ireland with league and county team winners participating for the right to be National Champions.  Lisburn Ladies were represented by an U10 and U11 team.

It was the U11 who brought the silverware back to home shores with a very impressive day, going the whole tournament without conceding a goal. After beating Manchester City in the first group game 2-0, both teams went head to head again in the final with Lisburn again winning by the same scoreline to lift the trophy.

The Lisburn U10 girls went very close after getting to the semi finals and only lost on penalties to a Manchester City team who have won every game they have played for the last year and whose whole squad are on the county excellence set up.

All of the Lisburn girls can be very proud of what they achieved.
