Dear Club Contact,

We in Leisure Development are planning a "Sporting Halloween" project which requires the support of your sport club funded thanks to
(details to be inserted as regards OFMDFM - David Robinson on honeymoon so getting details from Michelle Hand asap etc).......

Funding is available for clubs to engage their local community (11-19 year olds) in your sporting activity throughout October 2014 in a project which will involve your club coaching in schools and youth environments culminating in x3 sessions during the Halloween holidays in your club environment.

We envisage your club delivering coach led sessions in local secondary schools (3-4 weekly in different schools) in the first three weeks of October 2014 and signing up participants for your holiday sessions which could be for example x3 2-3 sessions giving an opportunity for participants to engage in your clubs activities and mix with other young people from across the city. Your holiday sessions could be during daytime or evening at your club or another suitable sports location.

Please find attached an initial application form which outlines the funding available:

Coaching time - we will pay for coaching time at £25 per hour per person during the programme.
Equipment costs - we will allow for £400 of equipment for participants (£20 per person) which the participants can keep.
Facility hire funding  - we will give your club £120 for hosting the Halloween days / sessions at your club site / other facilities in Belfast.
Clothing - your coaches will get a polo-shirt and all participants a t-shirt.
Marketing - we will provide generic flyers which you can use to note your times / sign-up participants.

and which requires some detail as to what your club plans to deliver.

We require you to reply on or before the 12 th September 2014 to avail of this unique opportunity to build your youth section and receive funding for programme delivery. A number of other benefits included a raised profile due to publicity will also greatly add to your clubs activities.

It is planned to have a celebration event for clubs and participants at the end of the programme.

We await your response.

Kind regards,

Mr Ryan Haire
